Nick Griffin’s latest attempt to fleece yet more money from gullible BNP members reveals just what depths he’ll sink to. Launched on their website this week and laughingly entitled ‘The People’s Support Fund’, the appeal claims to be raising money to defend BNP activists and supporters from a ‘witch hunt’ following the recent leaking of their membership list. From what we’ve read on some neo-fascist blogs and forums, many nazis have their doubts about where all of the cash donated from such begging campaigns actually goes. Griffin’s lavish lifestyle, fancy house and financial management have raised a lot of suspicion, it has to be said.

We’re not bothered one way or another whether the far-right idiots all fall out with each other over who gets their grubby hands on the purse strings. What really caught our eye in the appeal’s launch statement was this:

Independent observers such as leading libertarian Dr. Sean Gabb (above) are comparing the onslaught launched against us to the political witch hunts in the early days of the Soviet and Nazi regimes.

Would this be the same ‘independent’ Dr. Sean ‘Sicko’ Gabb who, like Griffin, has written for the neo-fascist Third Way group and supported Holocaust deniers? The same individual who denounced the prosecution of Gary Glitter (aka Paul Gadd) for being a paedophile?

That’s the one.

Don’t believe us? Writing of Glitter’s trial in 1999 for having sex with a 14-year old girl and possession of child porn, Dr. Sicko said (emphasis ours):

An adult who complains 20 or 30 years after the event should be laughed at. I would say that anyone who spends so long brooding over something that might at the time not have been so terrible [...] should not be seen as a reliable witness

Note his casual dismissal of the trauma and suffering that victims of sexual abuse have to go through.

He claims that, rather than being prosecuted for being a filthy paedo, Glitter

…was made to stand trial not because there was overwhelming evidence against him, but because the authorities do not approve of sexual pleasure

In Glitter’s case, his ’sexual pleasure’ came from the abuse of children. It’s not “the authorities” who disapprove of paedophiles, it’s society, ordinary people like you and me who know that such behaviour is disgusting and depraved.

And just in case you had any doubts about how ill-informed and twisted Dr.Sicko is, he asserts that

…it can be argued that it is less harmful for a child to be photographed in a warm studio over several hours than to be worked day after day in a factory with unguarded machinery all around

To try and create a ‘hierarchy’ of childhood suffering is about as warped as it gets. Child exploitation is not acceptable in any way, shape or form, whether sexual, physical or emotional. Any right-thinking person would try and work towards a world where no kid has to suffer for any reason, not try and find a reason to justify such suffering.

The fact that Griffin seeks approval for his politics from an apologist for paedophiles shows how desperate he is and how low he will go, and will sicken any decent person to their very core.

The BNP make much of the housing crisis (it was the basis of the leaflet they attempted to distribute in Bedminster last week) but, as ever, look for scapegoats that fit their racist outlook rather than address the real issues. Bristol Antifa prefer to deal in facts. To this end, we’ve produced an information poster (PDF) that challenges common misconceptions about housing and immigration. All of the information was provided by an independent housing expert and can be easily verified. The poster also briefly examines the true nature of the housing crisis and offers up a genuine solution that would benefit all working class people. Do immigrants and asylum seekers get housed first?

Immigrants or asylum seekers from outside Europe are specifically excluded from any ‘recourse to public funds’ and this includes housing and benefits. Only asylum seekers who have been accepted as genuinely fleeing violence or torture may be given indefinite leave to remain in the UK. They can then work or apply for housing if they are eligible. The same rules apply to them as apply to anyone else. Don’t believe the racist lies of the BNP and tabloids.

Have asylum seekers got all the housing?

It’s important to look at the facts, not the hype. Across the country, asylum seekers granted indefinite leave occupy less than 2% of council and housing association properties. The main reasons for getting housed by the council are relationship breakdown and parental eviction, not immigration, and the biggest share of social housing goes to elderly people.

So why was my friend turned away by the council?

There simply isn’t enough social housing to go around. Successive governments have left it to the private landlords to provide more houses but this just hasn’t happened. As always, the system we are ruled by prioritises profit over the needs of real people, whatever our colour or race. If we want people to have access to decent housing, then more social housing has to be created.

Where have all the council houses gone?

The policy of ‘right to buy’ has led to the sale of millions of council houses. The houses are far cheaper than if bought in the open market, were often heavily discounted further to encourage people to buy them, and are a total bargain. However, councils are not allowed to build new houses with the money from the sales, and housing associations have built very few. This has meant that total social housing has reduced from 35% of housing stock in 1965 to about 21% today.

Why is renting so expensive?

Councils and housing associations charge what it costs to provide housing, about £250 a month for a flat. Private landlords, who as well as getting their mortgage paid are also making a profit, usually charge at least £500 a month. Modern built social housing is built to better standards than private housing. Private renting is basically a rip off! This is an insult to all of us simply trying to get by. Such greed is a genuine threat to our lives, unlike living with people of other races who are also just trying to get by.

In recent weeks, local members of the British National Party have crawled from their sewers and onto the streets of Bristol, in an attempt to stir up division and hate between working class people. Decent members of the community have been on the receiving end of their odious propaganda in Keynsham, Kingswood, Fishponds, Knowle and, most recently, Bedminster. This racist rent-a-mob consists of around half-a-dozen numbskulls as its core [1], with a few other misfits tagging along. But it seems they don’t like it up ‘em when the tables are turned.

We know that local people in Fishponds and Knowle have confronted these morons when they’ve realised just who they are, leading to the ’stout-hearted’ BNP half-wits turning tail and scuttling off back to their hovels as fast as their legs will carry them.

And, following a tip-off, a local anti-fascist was on hand to monitor the nazis when they had the nerve to take to the streets of Bedminster last Saturday. Bedminster is a solid working class area and our activist was proud of how quickly locals of all races challenged them when they clocked that they were BNP. A lone shopper gave one pair (no’s. 7 & 8 in the pics below) a thorough verbal lashing when he saw the BNP logo on the leaflet he’d been handed, while another group made it clear to the rest of ‘em that they weren’t going to tolerate the BNP on Bemmie streets. Needless to say, the fascists immediately beat a hasty retreat to the Asda car-park before scarpering in their vehicles.

Even better, we’ve been able to get some great mug-shots of the so-called ‘master race’, to help you spot them more easily if they try and infest your area. We’d also like to put names to faces, so we’ve helpfully numbered them - if you know who’s who, just use our contact form to pass the info on.

No. 4 seems to have forgotten the instructions not to show the BNP’s true colours in public. They just can’t seem to help snapping out that Hitler salute. Meanwhile, Clutterbuck (no. 5) flicks the V’s (charming), while the toothless muppet in the middle (no. 6) seems to be wanting a fight. That would probably explain his lack of teeth.

7 & 8 have that 80’s old-school bonehead-and-football-casual thing going on. Trying to tone it down with a dodgy leather blouson jacket and flares is ill-advised, especially when your neck and arse (not shown on grounds of public decency) are that fat.

We think this unsavoury character (no. 1) is Clive Courtney, who’s stood for the BNP in various local elections. Confirmation welcome.

We know that this particular pie-eater (no. 5) is Mark Clutterbuck, Bristol area organiser and possibly BNP Central (Staff) Management team.

“Come in Number Six, your time is up!”. He can’t be too much longer for this earth, surely? No. 9, the Clueless Wonder, really doesn’t seem to have much going on upstairs. He must fit in very well.

[1] No’s. 1 & 3-7 made up the bulk (in more ways than one) of the group who lingered a bit before disappearing, just like a bad fart, in Keynsham a few weeks ago. They also match descriptions given after they were spotted in other locations.

…has revealed some very interesting information. We would imagine that, right now, 193 people across the greater BS postcode area are not very happy with the British National Party’s security measures. While we accept that there may be a handful of inaccuracies in a list containing just under 13,000 names and addresses (and we would encourage anyone who’s seen it to double-check and confirm the info themselves), the party hierarchy have conceded that it’s essentially correct. According to the whistle-blowing website Wikileaks, their own staff have independently verified the list too.

For the record, Bristol Antifa has no interest in the legality or otherwise of the BNP. Nor do we care whether the State permits or prohibits such fascist groups. But we do think that we, the working class, have every right to stand up to and act against fascist politics and sympathisers in our communities and workplaces. We don’t want nazis for neighbours, we don’t want to work alongside racists and we don’t want our kids to be taught by bigots.

We know that the BNP has managed to hide its true colours from many of the working class people who may have voted for or got involved with the party in recent times. Part of our role as working class activists is to expose the real nature of fascism and ensure that our class is not fooled by such deception. We are working hard on challenging and demolishing the fascists’ lies.

But equally, as a part of the working class (rather than, like the leadership of the BNP, apart from it) we will not shirk from taking whatever action is neccessary to confront, disrupt and destroy fascist organisations wherever they are found.

We know that fascism doesn’t start with the gas chambers, that’s where it ends, and we will not allow history to repeat itself.

We would like to say a MASSIVE thanks to all of the bands, volunteers and punters who turned out for our benefit gig last Friday. The event was a sell-out, the bands gave it everything they had (and more!), the soundcrew kept it rocking along nicely, the crowd drank and danced from start to finish, and Bristol Antifa is considerably more financially secure as a result.

We also renewed some old acquaintances, and made some new ones too. In particular, we would like to thank those of you who offered to keep an eye out for fash activity in your own neighbourhoods - don’t forget to let us know what you find out. Austrian neo-nazi ‘politician’ Jörg Haider, Fuehrer of the far-right ‘Alliance For Austria’s Future’, admirer of Adolf Hitler and inspiration for the BNP’s Nick Griffin, was killed in a car crash at the weekend. The fortunate accident happened after Haider had spent a night out on the lash (he was more than three times over the Austrian legal limit). Already, BNP supporters are talking of conspiracies involving the New World Order, Israel and Mossad, Turkish migrants, poisoned drinks, computer-assisted assassination and secret service hitmen disguised as ambulance medics as the various causes of the crash. Here’s just one example from a BNP nazi nutter who goes under the name of The Green Arrow:

I think, that most thinking people believe that the “apparent” collapse and subsequent “assistance” of the world money markets has been planned for a long time.

First, to personally enrich beyond imagination, a relatively small group of individuals and secondly help bring about the New World Order which they say will be required to put “everything right again” and which these “chosen” individuals will control.

In [an interview] that was filmed just 16 days before his possible murder, Joerge Haider talks of the involvement of some of the banks involved:

“What we need, is protection from ruinous products, because in reality the banks are a big mafia which have poisoned the whole world…with these products.

By using everything (financial ideas and products) from America and today nobody wants to be responsible.

It is the small man who will suffer because he will lose his job and payment.”

As you can see from the constant interruptions to Mr Haider, this kind of talk is not popular with the “elite”. Couple that with all the other “truths” that the heroic Haider spoke about before his death and you can understand why the “elite” would like to see the end of him.

So just how to get rid of this man who was a major obstacle to their plans for the enslavement of the world population?

Well one of the most popular methods for killing someone without the public becoming alarmed is Assissination by car accident. Lots of people die in car accidents.

One of the most well known techniques for taking out a person traveling by car is “The Boston Brakes” method.

Microchip transceivers are installed into the victims vehicle enabling the assasins to take over control of the steering column and braking functions at a location and time of their choice.

The target is then put in a situation where he believes himself to be in danger and accelerates his vehicle to escape. The assassins then take control of the vehicle and the victim is doomed and if necessary are on hand to finish of the victim under the guise of giving assistance.

No doubt soon, the press will be announcing that Mr Haider was speeding, over the drink limit and also had signs of drug abuse in his blood stream.

There have been several famous cases where it is believed that the “Boston Brakes” method of murder has been used. One is the “assassination” of Major Michael Marman and the other is that of the, unwanted by some, Princess of Wales. The above video was included because it refers to the “Boston Brakes” method of murder.

Fortunately for Nick Griffin, we have people in the BNP who know of the kind of tactics employed by the agents of the New World Order and hopefully they should protect the Chairman of the British National Party. We want a live leader not a dead martyr.

Great nations are simply the operating fronts of behind-the-scenes, vastly ambitious individuals who had become so effectively powerful because of their ability to remain invisible while operating behind the national scenery.

What a bunch of loons!

It’s obvious to us and anyone else with an ounce of sense that the basic problem is capitalism and class. We don’t need to go much further than that in explaining the root causes of much of the crap we have to deal with, but it’s not enough for the fruitloop fascists. Anyone who keeps an eye on the rantings of the far-right beyond their fragile public image will know that they’re very fond of crackpot theories and extreme paranoia, which is why their politics are so insane and they keep falling out with each other.

But the simple fact is, as well as making bad politicians, nazis make bad drivers (Ian Stuart, Violent Storm etc etc). Haider was going at twice the speed limit in a powerful car while pissed up. He overtook another vehicle, lost control and took himself out of the gene pool. It doesn’t take a genius to work out that it’s just another case of what happens when you put a drunk moron behind the wheel.

Here’s hoping that Griffin meets a similar fate in his ‘Lie Lorry‘.

The far-right in Bristol are presently weak and disorganised. Years of political and physical opposition in the 90’s ensured that they could not operate in any meaningful way. The after-effects of that anti-fascist work are still being felt by them today.

But that does not mean that our job is done. As the present system lurches from crisis to crisis, with the bosses and politicians huddling ever-closer together to protect their own interests at the expense of ours, the working class are left to take the full force of the failures of capitalism. And the far-right are exploiting this political and economic assault on our class. By presenting themselves as some kind of radical alternative to this madness, they are seeking to take advantage of our misery for their benefit. The reality is that fascist politics, whether from the ‘respectable’ BNP or their knuckle-dragging mates in Combat 18 and the like, are violently anti-working class. Their ideology can best be summed up by that old expression ‘divide and conquer’. Rest assured, fascism offers us nothing.

Bristol Antifa are working hard to ensure that the BNP cannot re-establish themselves in our city. We aren’t going to pretend that this will be easy, particularly given the state of society and the willingness of ‘our’ politicians to screw us over at every opportunity. But we will use whatever resources we have to step up to the challenge.

To do this as effectively as we can, we need information about fascists and fascist activity in your area. Antifa supporters live and work in the communities that the BNP are likely to try and target in the coming months. Although we are aware of many of the people involved with nazi politics in Bristol, we also know that things can change pretty quickly. If you see or hear of fascists trying to organise in your community, don’t ignore it. Tell your friends, family and workmates and remind them that nazi politics are not our politics. Stand together and let the fascist goons know in no uncertain terms that they’re not welcome on our doorsteps. And please pass any information on to Bristol Antifa. We will work with you to make sure that the fascists have nowhere to run and nowhere to hide if they dare to show their ugly faces.

Capitalism in crisis? Fascism is no solution!

Despite claims to the contrary by the bosses, bankers and bureaucrats, capitalism is a chaotic ideology built on smoke and mirrors. And the economic turmoil that we’re facing today is not a blip in an otherwise stable system, it is the nature of the beast. The ongoing crisis in capitalism is familiar to many of us, and the present madness should act as a wake-up call to working class people everywhere. For the vast majority of us across the globe, the ‘good times’ are nothing but temporary periods of relative calm in the raging capitalist storm.

The failure of the political puppets of this insane system (like the LibLabConspiracy in the UK) to look after our interests, even as they unite to defend and protect their own, is plain for all to see. While we have suffered for centuries at the hands of the capitalist class, as soon as their interests are threatened they hurriedly band together to bail themselves out of their own mess. And it’s us that pay the price as they bleed us ever harder to make up for what they may lose. It’s like some kind of perverse socialism for the few at the expense of the many.

Meanwhile, the BNP claim that they are an alternative for the white working class to this crappy capitalist society. They offer the crudest of lies as ’solutions’ to the problems our class face, regardless of our colour; lies that, if we believe them, would ultimately see us mistrusting, fighting and killing each other for the crumbs thrown from their table.

Not enough houses? Blame the immigrants, conveniently ignoring the facts that there are hundreds of thousands of empty properties in the hands of private landlords, that property speculators profit from controlling the supply, that estate agents are thieving scum who make money from something that should be a basic right, and that working class people know how to create and build - all we need are the land and resources that the ruling class have stolen from us over the centuries!

Not enough jobs? Blame the immigrants, conveniently ignoring the facts that unemployment suits the interests of the capitalists as we fight and undercut each other for the right to be their wage slaves, that working for a paltry pay packet while the fat cats rake in the profits from our labour is not in our best interests, and that a world where the workload was based solely on meeting our needs and desires and shared out fairly would mean that most of our time would be free to spend however we choose.

Not enough whatevers? Blame the immigrants, conveniently ignoring the facts that show time and again that it is capitalism that is at the root of our problems.

And if fascists like the BNP ever gain power they’ll carry on spewing out these lies, while they get on with robbing us blind from right under our noses, stealing our wealth, our planet and our lives to satisfy their bare-faced greed and addiction to power. In that respect they’re very much like every other bunch of slimy two-faced politicians, they’d just do it to a much greater degree!

BNP: Bigots. Nazis. Politicians?

The ruling class already use fear as a tactic to keep us isolated from each other. While we slave for them and fight among ourselves, they continue to profit from our blood and sweat. The fascists of the BNP, just like the fascists of the Taliban and Hitler’s Third Reich, would only make things a thousand times worse for us. They will try anything to con us into voting for them, to get us to believe that our interests lie with them and their kind. Yet we, as working class people, have so much more in common with each other than we will ever have with these corrupt power whores. Now, more than ever, we must remember that.

The failure of capitalism to look after all of our needs is obvious for all to see. The solution is definitely not to vote for the most extreme version of it! The problems that we face, as ordinary people, will only be solved when we come together to take back what is rightfully ours, when we run this world for the benefit of all, not the few. We must learn from each other, organise together and stand as one as we march towards a future that can and will be ours.

The one thing the fascists fear more than anything else is a strong and united working class, smashing down the false ideologies of nation, religion and race that they prey upon. Let’s give them every reason to fear.

“It was like a miniature Nuremberg rally full of thugs”

Around 800 supporters of the notorious neo-nazi outfits Blood & Honour (B&H) and Combat 18 (C18) descended on the North Somerset village of Redhill last weekend, bringing fear to the inhabitants of the normally peaceful hamlet. Booking the event at The Bungalow Inn under the cover of a scooter club rally, the nazis in fact held their annual memorial marking the happy death of B&H founder, Ian Stuart, in a car crash many years ago. For those who don’t know of him, Stuart was lead singer of nazi bonehead band Skrewdriver (known since the crash as Skrewydriver) and a pivotal figure in the neo-nazi movement.

Video footage taken by village residents speaks for itself. Boneheads urinated in locals’ gardens, draped themselves in swastika flags, and seig-heiled their way through the night while listening to third-rate nazi ‘music’. No wonder the villagers felt intimidated.

Some were so fearful that they left their houses to get away from the gathering. A local mum of two young children said

“My daughters were petrified, I was terrified and so was my husband. We ran into the house and I burst into tears and said to my husband ‘we’ve got to go, I don’t feel safe’.

I just can’t stop crying as I think back to how bad it was – it was like a miniature Nuremberg rally full of thugs.

Another resident, who fled her home when the yobs invaded her garden and began using it as a public toilet, said

I think it was disgraceful behaviour to see from anybody. I was very upset that anyone can hold those views after what’s happened in the past, and I found it incredibly distressing and so did my family.

In past years, the nazis used to be able to publicly announce their rallies and gatherings and would’ve had similar numbers attending from the UK alone. Persistant physical opposition by anti-fascists means that they can no longer do this. Instead, it’s all done by backroom whispers and these days relies heavily on support and finance from fascists from abroad. They use the same tactics as they used here to hire facilities. It has always proved difficult, if not impossible, for anti-fascists to gather intelligence about these events, which is why it took us by surprise as much as anyone.

But it’s no surprise to us that supporters of B&H / C18 are known to attend events organised by the British National Party - discussions on the neo-nazi website Stormfront often reveal the overlap between these vicious thugs and the so-called ‘respectable’ face of British fascism that the BNP tries to represent. Don’t be fooled - behind their cheap suits and ties lurks the rotten core of Hitler-worshipping fanatics.
